Barangay Tagapo, located in Santa Rosa, Laguna, was originally part of the established settlement of Barrio Bukol, which later became the municipality of Santa Rosa. Barrio Bukol, including Tagapo, was initially under the jurisdiction of Biñan. The municipality of Santa Rosa was established on January 18, 1792, following a series of name changes and the separation of barrios into independent towns.
